Smooth as porcelain
Joey Roth ceramic speakers

Ceramic may not be the first material that comes to mind when thinking about speakers, but industrial designer Joey Roth has created a speaker set that is made of white glazed porcelain, Baltic birch, aluminium and cork. The result is minimalistic but at the same time has a sense of rawness to it.

The horn-shaped ceramic speakers in sit perfectly on the specifically crafted birch wood stand. The 4-inch drivers offer a frequency range of 70 Hz – 20 kHz and the analog signal path is as short as possible with no DSP or filters. The optional subwoofer has a 6.5-inch driver that offers solid bass sound with a frequency range of 40 Hz – 200 Hz. The external amp and the optional Bluetooth receiver are both built into the same steel, birch and cast iron enclosure and they allow pairing of the speakers with a range of digital devices, computers, TVs, and even turntables (with phono pre-amp).
