Bose noise-masking sleepbuds

Bose is one of the leading brands in audio equipment and its headphones offer both quality sound and effective noise cancellation. The company is heading into a new development in which it tries to mask instead of cancelling the noise, and it is now applying the technology to sleep. Interestingly, Bose is testing the prototype by selling them through crowdfunding platform Indiegogo in order to gather user feedback.

It can be challenging to fall asleep if your bedroom is facing busy streets, or if you have noisy neighbours or a snoring partner. Firstly, Bose noise-masking sleepbuds use noise-isolating eartips to block out unwanted noise. The earpieces are specially designed for fitting into the ears comfortably for the whole night. Secondly, the sleepbuds are preloaded with soothing sounds such as ocean waves for masking the noise. Users can set the volume level of these sounds via the Bose Sleep app just in case they are in a situation which they prefer the surrounding sounds being slightly audible. Additionally, alarms can be set, again via the app, without waking up the partner. The sleepbuds can be charged easily via wall charger and USB cable and the portable travel/charging case.

While all the prototype sleepbuds have been sold out, Bose intend to officially launch the final product later in 2018.
