Ayrton Senna’s iconic bright yellow race suit worn during the 1987 Monaco Grand Prix is going to auction in May. The suit, which Senna wore to score his first Monaco GP victory and the last Formula 1 victory for Team Lotus, was given by Senna to the brother of his physiotherapist who kept it as his office’s ‘lucky charm’ for several years before selling it in Canada. It was then purchased by a gallery in Monaco where it currently resides.
The signed suit will be sold at RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction on May 12, 2018.
