Reverse graffiti
Dirty art by Nikita Golubev

To some people, graffiti has a bad reputation. Those who don’t appreciate it still consider the street art as a form of vandalism. The “reverse graffiti” technique pioneered by British artist Moose is making a breakthrough though. The artists find the dirtiest walls on the streets and skilfully clean them to create visually pleasant images. The technique is gradually getting positive feedback and seems to be accepted even by the conservatives.

Russian street artist Nikita Golubev is following the trend and recently launched his “Dirty Works” campaign. He has been using heavily dusted cars in Moscow as his canvas and his works are created by delicately removing dirt from their exteriors. He uses the sides or the back doors of large trucks, plus he has performed his magic on a few sedans too.
