BMW R1200R by VTR Customs

Customisation is offered more and more frequently in the automobile industry. For most mass productions, there are at least a couple of packages that allow the owner to add their own personal touch. But for independent tuners, customisation is a way to showcase their creativity as well as to qualify their existence. In the case of this BMW R1200R by VTR Customs, the bike is inspired by the classic beauties of The Goodwood Revival, especially the Bentley racing cars from the 1930s.

VTR Customs is the in-house custom section of Stucki 2 Rad, an official BMW dealer in Schmerikon, Switzerland, which might explain the choice of bike. While everything began with a standard, muscular BMW R1200R, the company explains that they wanted to achieve the appearance of an attacking, angry bull with wide shoulders and a slim mid line, and they handled it beautifully. Finished in dark green, brushed aluminium and tobacco brown leather, it has Cafe Racer-style handlebars and classic round headlights.

VTR Customs were so happy with the result that they entered the bike into the Essenza contest. It came second in the professional category decided by a jury of journalists, customisers and designers. With all its fame and glory, the “Goodwood 12” is currently listed for sale for 44,800 Swiss francs.
