Fred Perry and Raf Simons are continuing their partnership with a new capsule collection for spring/summer 2018.
Raf Simons explains his approach to the new collection; “Dress codes, gestures and attitudes have always inspired me, as have youth cultures in general”. The collection combines the postmodern edge of Raf Simons’ designs with a selection of Fred Perry brand’s staple garments, such as short-sleeve polos and T-shirts, pullover hoodies and long-sleeve crewnecks. One of the notable features from the collection is the use of duct tape, which Raf Simons formerly used as an accessory to help hold an outfit together for his Fall/Winter 2017 presentation. It’s now being used alongside the Fred Perry classic laurel wreath on hoodies and tees to adorn polo shirt collars and side seams.
