Each of us has a little universe running in our head, and it needs nurturing. Imagination and abstract thinking are the perfect elements to make this cosmos colourful. Visual storyteller Christoph Niemann reveals his universe through his work, especially in his series of ‘Sunday Sketches’. He places coloured lines around daily materials, blurring the line between reality and imagination. For instance, a credit card becomes a tree trunk, a bottle of ink turns into a camera, and a tea bag becomes a waiter’s formal bib. He then posts his work on his Instagram account every Sunday, adding to the weekend’s relaxed feeling.
