On The Way To Le Mans
2018 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo

Ferrari recently debuted the new version of the 488 GTE Evo before the start of the 2018-19 Superseason of the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The car is now fresh from testing at Fiorano and ready to rock.

This is the third season that Ferrari has fielded the 488 GTE to race in WEC, and exactly what has been updated for the latest example has not yet been announced, but the metallic red colour scheme is something that won’t go unnoticed. The windshield of the new car displays the shades of last year’s world title. Piloting the no. 51 car will be world champions James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi, and Sam Bird and Davide Rigon will drive the no. 71 car, while the third car’s drivers have yet to be confirmed.

The 488 GTE Evo will make its racing debut at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on 5 May, followed by the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 16.
