New Gaming Gear Brand
Sony Inzone PC gaming headsets and monitors

Sony recently launched a gaming gear brand — Inzone — that is aimed squarely at the high-performance PC gaming market. By creating a separate brand identity instead of having these products under the Playstation label, Sony hopes to capture a bigger share of the gaming market.

Two gaming monitors and three headsets have been announced for Inzone’s brand launch. The 27-inch Inzone M9 HDR gaming monitor sports 4K resolution and high contrast levels thanks to ‘Full Array Local Dimming’, offering DisplayHDR 600 for crisp details in deep blacks and brightness. The 144Hz refresh rate in HDMI 2.1 standard is more than sufficient, but for gamers requiring ultra-high response, there’s the Inzone M3. Also in 27-inch sizing, the M3 has a refresh rate of Full HD 240Hz, while the DisplayHDR 400 still offers vibrant and rich colours. Both monitors are fitted with a low-depth tripod stand, so there’s plenty of space on the desk for peripherals, while the Auto KVM Switch feature allows users to control two PCs.

With long gaming sessions in mind, the Inzone H9, H7, and H3 headsets feature a wide, soft headband cushion and earpads shaped to minimise pressure for the best comfort possible, while Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming technology is here to provide precise target detection. The H9 and H7 are wireless headsets with 32 and 40 hours of battery life respectively, and also offer a 10-minute quick charge that’s good for up to an hour of gameplay, while the H3 is a wired headset. The H9 is additionally geared with noise cancellation technology borrowed from the Sony 1000X series headphones. All three headsets come with a microphone.
