With such a simple yet menacing appearance, it is no surprise that Tomcar was initially designed for military purpose. CEO Ram Zarchi’s father was a retired Israeli commander who once built two working vehicles from the wreckage of six airdropped jeeps, and such ability just shaped the process of combining different utility vehicles into one car, leading to the birth of the company. Tomcar is also popular among mining companies, recreational hunters and filmmakers in addition to special operations groups. Indeed some of the chasing scenes in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was shot on a Tomcar.

The latest 2020 Tomcar TX is available in three variants: the TX3 two-seater with long loading bed, the TX4 four-seater, and the TX5 two-seater with a shorter wheelbase. All versions have a massive 17” ground clearance for running through the most rugged terrain, and up to 14” of suspension travel plus independent wheel movement. The series can be powered by gas, diesel, electric or hybrid, but each edition offers different powertrain options.
