BMW M2 Competition Coupé leaked

BMW had planned to unveil the new M2 Competition at the Beijing Motor Show later this month, but BMW Australia accidentally launched a webpage with official images and technical specifications of the coupé. Although the page is now unaccessible, there is no way to stop the information being circulated online.

The M2 Competition is powered by the S55 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six found in the M4, but the engine is detuned to generate 410 hp and 550 Nm of torque, with a maximum engine speed of 7,600rpm. The car will take 4.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h with M double-clutch transmission.

On the outside, the M2 Competition distinguishes itself from the usual M2 with slightly different shape for the grille framed in black, matching black mirror covers and black 19-inch wheels. The front fascia is more aggressive with sharper intakes and a modified bumper.
