Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH may carry one of the most recognisable names in Porsche tuning history, but the company is very much its own operation. Founded by Uwe Gemballa’s son, Marc Philipp Gemballa, the boutique German manufacturer focuses on highly limited, comprehensively re-engineered collector cars rather than conventional tuning. Its second model, the new Marsien GT, takes that philosophy in a more road-focused direction.
Where the original Marsien was conceived as an all-terrain supercar inspired by the Paris-Dakar era, the GT trades much of that off-road character for grand-touring precision. Each example starts life as a Porsche 992 Turbo S before being transformed with around 1,500 individually engineered components, including an entirely new carbon-fibre exterior, suspension, exhaust and aerodynamic package.
Designer Alan Derosier has retained the Marsien’s distinctive proportions but sharpened the body considerably. More than 100 carbon-fibre exterior components are used, along with active front fender louvres, a raised active rear wing, larger intakes, a roof scoop and a full carbon underbody. The changes also save 75 kg compared with the donor Turbo S. A four-layer Anniversary Liquid Champagne Gold finish gives the launch car an appropriately dramatic appearance.
The familiar twin-turbo flat-six is upgraded by RUF Automobile to produce more than 830 hp and 930 Nm. An optional second-stage package exceeding 900 hp is also being developed. Marc Philipp Gemballa quotes 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h. A bespoke Akrapovič titanium quad exhaust adds further theatre.
KW Automotive developed a new double-wishbone front suspension and electronically controlled DDC V5 dampers specifically for the GT, giving it a lower, more road-biased setup while retaining a 60 mm nose-lift function.
The interior is trimmed in Alcantara and carbon fibre, with hand stitching surrounding a raised centre console and an aluminium gear selector inspired by the Carrera GT. The Marsien GT is limited to just 30 examples, with first deliveries planned for the end of 2027.
