PriestmanGoode Dragonfly drone delivery concept

As online shopping is taking an ever-more important role in modern life, most of us have spent time waiting for delayed deliveries. How long we need to wait within the estimated time frame varies and is dependable on logistics and road traffic. London-based design and innovation company PriestmanGoode just launched thex Dragonfly, a concept for an integrated drone delivery system.

Paul Priestman, Co-founder and Chairman of the company, developed the concept for tackling the consequence of online retail. With the rise of online shopping comes more vehicles on already congested roads, leading to poor air quality. That’s why the ‘Dragonflies’, i.e. the drones, pick up the parcel on autonomous barges that also function as charging stations. They then deliver packages docking on landing pads on the sides and rooftops of buildings. Buildings in the future would also be designed with mailbox-like access to accommodate this service.
