Aston Martin announced its performance sub-brand, AMR, and introduced two concepts at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Here we finally see the first AMR production model, the Vantage AMR. Even though above the AMR there will be also be the extensively modified AMR Pro models created by Q by Aston Martin, this Vantage AMR certainly stays true to the brand’s racing spirit.
The Vantage AMR is offered with 430 hp V8 and 595 hp V12 engines and are limited to 200 and 100 examples respectively. The engines can specced into both coupe and roadster body styles. The ‘Halo Pack’ exterior is inspired by 2016 World Endurance Championship winner #95 Vantage GTE, with Stirling Green with Lime Green paint and Union Jack badges, while four other colourways are available also.
Carbon fibre features can be added as optional, including a front grille, side strakes, lamp infills and mirror caps on the outside and lightweight seats, instrument surrounds, door tops and door grabs on the inside. More carbon fibre modifications come with the AMR Aero Kit for the coupe only, featuring a front splitter, dive planes, side sills and a fixed rear spoiler. Delivery for the Vantage AMR is scheduled for the end of this year.
