Driving On The Sea
Beneteau Peugeot Sea Drive Concept

Peugeot and leading yacht company Beneteau have teamed up to create the Sea Drive Concept, which aims to demonstrate how Peugeot’s i-Cockpit could be applied as a new way of designing a boat’s steering station.

The i-Cockpit first appeared on the Peugeot 208 in 2012 and has been used on many other models since. The team at Peugeot Design Lab has now carried this concept over onto another form of transportation. On the Sea Drive concept, the cabin features Nappa leather, copper topstitching and accents of chrome and satin, which is similar to the specifications of the Peugeot GT line. A compact wheel, directly inspired by car steering wheels, can be found for easy and agile handling. There is also a 17-inch touch screen that displays the Ship Control interface, a removable tablet for displaying navigation information and toggle switches for direct access to the main functions.

The Sea Drive Concept can be viewed at the Nautic Paris Boat Show from now until December 10th.
