Honda 0 Series Saloon and Space-Hub EV concepts

Honda seized the opportunity at CES 2024 to unveil two electric vehicle concepts as part of the Honda 0 Series: the Saloon and the Space-Hub. The Japanese automaker emphasizes a return to its roots in crafting these new EVs from scratch, prioritizing the joy and freedom of mobility. The inclusion of “zero” in the name signifies Honda’s commitment to achieving zero environmental impact, with a pledge to become a completely carbon-neutral brand by 2050.

Both concepts adhere to Honda’s “Thin, Light, and Wise” approach to EV development. This strategy involves maintaining a low vehicle height and a slender EV platform to enhance aerodynamic performance, increase battery capacity and electricity efficiency, and incorporate advanced intelligent technologies for smarter vehicles. To ensure safety and peace of mind during every journey, both concepts will integrate automated driving and advanced driver-assistive systems.

The flagship Saloon concept boasts a sporty appearance with a low, lengthy, boxy design, and surprisingly spacious interiors. Sustainable materials will be utilized for both the exterior and cabin, emphasizing Honda’s commitment to eco-friendly practices. The Saloon features a human-machine interface on the instrument panel, promising an intuitive and seamless driving experience, elevating the joy of driving to new heights in the EV era.

In contrast, the Space-Hub offers a flexible and spacious cabin, adaptable for carrying passengers and luggage, or even serving as a social space on the road. The overarching theme is to enhance people’s daily lives through versatile usage.

While the Saloon and Space-Hub are currently conceptual models, the inaugural production model under the Honda 0 Series is scheduled for a global launch in 2026, beginning with the North American market.
