British car model manufacturer Amalgam has created an exact 1:4 scale model of the Bugatti Chiron’s 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Measuring in at 44 cms (18 inches) long and 22 cms (9 inches) high, the model is comprised of 1,040 individual pieces, which took 2,500 hours in development and a total of 220 hours to build. A close relationship between Amalgam and the Bugatti design team means that each individual material in the engine has been carefully and artfully reproduced at scale using special finishes as befits the Bugatti Chiron design. In addition, this incredibly detailed and precise model at very large scale captures every visible detail of the engine right down to the numerous parts labels and barcodes.

Priced at $9,365, the scale model is now available on Amalgam.
