Because of its size, our universe grants us limited understanding and because of this inherited insignificance, space will always be mysterious, and thus attractive. Artist Nick Flook  has created a series that allows us to enjoy a journey partnered with astronauts, and an appreciation of the beauty of nature from a different perspective.

Along with vibrant colours, Flook loves to use the contrast of light and shadow to put us into an astronauts’ shoes, following them as they walk through a stunning sea under the starry sky, or a volcano’s flooding magma, or a tree house deep in the woods. His latest painting, ‘Inside Story’, might remind you of  ‘Hand with Reflecting Sphere’ by famous lithographer M.C. Escher, updated for the space age.
