An American’s Return Of Support
colette x Thom Browne 2017 Collection

After 20 years in business, Iconic Parisian boutique colette is closing down on December 20. But the story doesn’t just stop there. In fact, the famed fashion boutique has enlisted six well-known clothing labels and designers to transform its second floor and release capsule collections each month. Following sacai, Balenciaga and LES VACANCES DE LUCIEN, colette has unveiled its fourth designer takeover collaboration with American designer Thom Browne.

Browne’s exclusive collection consists of more than two hundred men’s and women’s products ranging from showpieces just off the runway, and reimagined bestsellers to new brand categories in denim, home goods, kidswear and ‘American’-inspired novelty items. Some of the Thom Browne staples, such as button-down shirts, suits, knitwear and zip-up hoodies now boast colette’s signature Pantone blue and are decorated all-over with the Hector Browne (Thom’s sausage dog) jacquard pattern, remaining in line with the brand’s polished American sensibility.

Thom notes, “I remember meeting Sarah (Sarah Andelman, the founder of colette) when I first started and I was overwhelmed by her acceptance of my then small, sophomoric collection. Since that time, she has always been so supportive in providing both a creative and commercial point of view. She is a merchant with a singular, steadfast vision – a trait that is quite rare in today’s industry. I’m honoured to be a part of colette’s history – we will all miss colette”.

The exclusive collection is now available at colette until October 28, with Chanel and Saint Laurent to takeover in November and December.
