Art prints by Guy Allen

Guy Allen, a British professional illustrator with more than two decades experience, has introduced a new website for showcasing and selling his art prints. While his subject matter is diverse, ranging from Shakespeare’s plays to daily life to food, his prime focus involves cars and motorsport. His style comprises bright colours and clean lines, with a hint of the Art Deco style of graphic artworks seen pre-World War II. Citing automakers like Porsche and British media such as Channel 4 and Top Gear magazine as his clients, there is no doubt that his work is fascinating and widely appreciated.

Allen appears to be a big fan of Le Mans. He offers several prints portraying definitive moments from the iconic annual endurance race including Porsche’s very first triumph with the 917K in June 1970; the very moment evoking the same scene from Steve McQueen’s classic film of the same race; and Jaguar’s victory in the fifties. Fans of Targa Florio will not be disappointed with his unique illustrations of the Porsche 907 and the lovable 1965 Alfa Romeo GTA. His latest project, ’Group C’, captures his favourite sports cars competing in that legendary category during The 1982 World Sportscar Championship.

A majority of his work is available for sale as limited editions of only a few hundred prints. These unique pieces, signed and numbered after personal inspection, are offered on the respected German Hahnemühle stock. His pigment ink prints employ a nine colour inkjet printing process that guarantees the pieces will not fade, or yellow even facing direct sunlight and will remain light resistant for up to a century. Given the quality of these art prints, prices are extremely attractive, starting from only £40.
