Triumph has unveiled a one-off Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer DGR Edition to headline this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. Created to celebrate both craftsmanship and community, the unique machine marks 15 years of one of motorcycling’s most recognisable global events.
Founded in 2012 by Australian Mark Hawwa, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) began as a way to unite classic and vintage-style motorcycle riders while raising awareness for men’s health. What started as a small gathering has grown into a worldwide movement. In 2025 alone, more than 127,000 riders across 108 countries took part, raising over $7.6 million for Movember in support of prostate cancer research and mental health initiatives. The 2026 edition is set to take place on Sunday, 17 May, with registrations now open globally.
At the centre of this year’s event is Triumph’s one-off café racer. Based on the Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer platform, the DGR Edition features a distinctive Harris Tweed seat, handwoven in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, reflecting the tailored, dapper style synonymous with the ride. A dedicated “15 Years of Dapper” graphic and number board further set this one-off apart from the production version. Finished in a refined Competition Green and Aluminium Silver scheme, the bike blends classic British cues with modern detailing.
Beyond its appearance, the bike retains the proven performance of the Speed Twin 1200 RS. Power comes from a 1,200 cc high-compression Bonneville twin, producing 103.5 hp and 112 Nm of torque, delivered with a characterful 270-degree firing order. Fully adjustable Marzocchi forks, Öhlins rear suspension and Brembo Stylema brakes ensure sharp handling and strong, consistent stopping power.
Unlike most limited editions, this bike cannot simply be purchased. Instead, it will be awarded through the Gentlefolk Prize draw, open to eligible participants worldwide. Riders need to register at gentlemansride.com, complete their profile, make donations and raise at least US$250 before the campaign closes to unlock entry. Full details can be found on the DGR website.
