New Chapter for a Classic Name
Ferrari 849 Testarossa arrives in Hong Hong

Hong Kong’s Ferrari scene welcomed a significant new arrival as Blackbird Concessionaires unveiled the all-new Ferrari 849 Testarossa. Presented to clients and media, the latest flagship berlinetta marks a decisive evolution of Ferrari’s hybrid supercar lineage, succeeding the SF90 Stradale with greater power, sharper technology and a renewed sense of identity.

At its core, the 849 Testarossa is a plug-in hybrid that blends a thoroughly reworked twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors, producing a combined 1,036 hp. The internal combustion engine alone now delivers 819 hp, while the hybrid system contributes a further 217 hp, making it the most powerful production Ferrari to date. This performance is matched by an advanced all-wheel-drive system and torque vectoring, ensuring the car remains as composed as it is explosive. With 0-100 km/h acceleration in under 2.3 seconds and a top speed of over 330 km/h, the numbers place it firmly at the sharp end of the modern supercar spectrum.

Beyond outright performance, the new model signals a return to heritage through its name. “Testarossa” carries a legacy stretching back to Ferrari’s 1950s racing cars and the iconic road model of the 1980s, now reinterpreted for a modern era. The design reflects this balance of past and future, drawing inspiration from 1970s sports prototypes while introducing a more geometric, architectural language. Aerodynamic performance has also been elevated, with 415 kg of downforce at 250 km/h and improved cooling efficiency to support the increased output.

Inside, Ferrari has focused on driver engagement without sacrificing usability. The cockpit is more enveloping and intuitive, with a redesigned steering wheel featuring physical controls, including the return of the iconic engine start button. Advanced systems such as ABS Evo and the Ferrari Integrated Vehicle Estimator further refine braking precision and dynamic control, bringing race-derived intelligence to the road.
