Toyota is set to debut the GR HV SPORTS concept car at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, running from October 27 through November 5 at Tokyo Big Sight.

The Toyota GR HV SPORTS concept embraces the design elements of the Toyota Gazoo Racing’s TS050 Hybrid World Endurance Championship (WEC) racer. The matte black car features a Targa top as seen on Toyota’s legendary older sports cars like the Supra and a similar THS-R (Toyota Hybrid System-Racing) system used in the TS050.

Moreover, the Toyota GR HV SPORTS concept features impressive LED headlights, unique alloys wheels, and a rear diffuser similar to the TS050 Hybrid. The interior appointments follow the pattern of the Toyota 86, with the addition of an entirely digital instrument cluster.
