Steel and Gold
Tudor Heritage Black Bay S&G

S&G stands for Steel and Gold. Even though Tudor has been putting a lot of focus on its new innovative styles recently, the watchmaker has brought back this classic combination. Tudor has updated the Heritage Black Bay style with an S&G version and launched a campaign for it with the brand’s latest ambassador, David Beckham.

Heritage Black Bay S&G combines aesthetics with functionality. Based on the full stainless steel style, several areas requiring extra oxidation and corrosion resistance are made with yellow gold, including the crown, bezel, hands and centre-links of the bracelet. More gold is used on the hour markers and logo, shinning through the black dial and bezel with subtlety. The Calibre MT5612 self-winding movement is based on the first in-house movement launched in 2015, but with added calendar function. The movement has a power reserve of up to 70 hours, meaning if the watch is being taken off on Friday night, it will operate normally on Monday morning without the need to wind. The movement runs 28,800 bph (4Hz), has a variable inertia balance and a silicon balance spring, and is COSC Chronometer certified for guaranteed accuracy.
