Rebirth Of A Classic
1981 BMW M1

It is always interesting to read about true barn finds, as it is sometimes completely beyond understanding as to why some of the most amazing cars in the world could be so neglected in the first place. Take this 1981 BMW M1, for example. It was one of 430 examples ever made, and since 1982 it has been sitting in a garage in South Italy for 34 years until vintage BMW specialist Mint Classics found it at the end of 2016.

The M1 has low mileage too, at just 7,329 km. What is ever rarer is the fact that it has never been registered. The car was taken to BMW Classic in Munich for a meticulous restoration, aiming to preserve as many parts as possible. The car still has its matching numbers engine and gearbox, as well as original accessories such as all the books and M1 luggage. Mint Classics is asking for 1 million euros for this special barn find.
