Rare Single Cylinder
1929 Harley-Davidson Peashooter

Every motorcycle enthusiast is familiar with Harley-Davidson and its renowned V-twin engines. However, before the V-twin, H-D produced single-cylinder motorcycles, such as this 1928 Peashooter SA OHV formerly from the EJ Cole Collection scheduled for auction at the 2017 Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction in January. First released in 1926, this fully restored Peashooter has an ‘SA’ 350cc overhead valve competition motor, with a rare Scheduler AMX12 racing carburettor.

The Peashooter earned its name from the weird popping sounds it generated from its twin exhaust ports and shortened engine exhaust pipe. As of now, the Peashooter’s estimated starting price has yet to be posted.
