Acura NSX GT3

Acura is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. One of the recent activities associated with this milestone was the Honda North America unveiling the NSX GT3 racecar at New York International Auto Show. The track version racecar is based on the road version and uses the same twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine but without the electric motors. Built with FIA GT3 regulations in mind, the racecar is rear wheel drive and is paired with a 6-speed, sequential-shift racing gearbox. The addition of motorsports electronics and modifications to the exhaust system will also bump up peak output.

Like the production NSX, the NSX GT3 racecar has the same multi-material body and aluminum intensive spaceframe, but modified with custom bodywork and aero components including a large deck wing spoiler, underbody diffuser and enlarged hood vents for extra engine cooling. The NSX GT3 will campaign throughout North America starting next year in the Pirelli World Challenge.
