British company Engler has unveiled its second quad bike model, the V12 SuperQuad.
For those unfamiliar with quad bikes, they are four-wheeled vehicles traditionally designed for off-road use. Also known as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), they feature a straddle seat and handlebars for steering, similar to motorcycles, but offer greater stability with four large, low-pressure tyres. According to founder Viktor Engler, the company’s latest SuperQuad is in the same league as the world’s best supercars or even hypercars.
The Engler V12, which boasts more power, better dynamics, and enhanced performance, will be powered by a V12 engine delivering over 1,200 hp and 1,200 Nm of torque. Full engine details will be revealed in 12 months. The vehicle has a dry weight of 1,200 kg, and the in-house 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox weighs less than 30 kg – an impressive achievement for road-legal cars.
The aerodynamics are remarkable, relying on seamlessly integrating aerodynamic functions into its overall shape to enhance downforce and reduce drag through detailed design, rather than specific components like spoilers. The magnesium forged wheels are 20 inches in diameter and will be fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, measuring 245/30 R20 at the front and 305/30 R20 at the rear.
Engler intends to eventually launch the V12 into the market, but the company can currently produce only 10 vehicles per year, making it even more exclusive and difficult to obtain.
