More Fun Than A Real One
LEGO Ford Mustang GT 350-H

In 1965, American rental car company Hertz ordered 1,000 custom-built Shelby GT 350 Mustangs as rentals, resulting in the GT 350-H with distinguished all-black livery and two golden stripes. LEGO master builder Paul Sariel from Poland just created an excellent custom built remote controlled LEGO version.

The model car is 44 cm long and weighs 1.769 kg, but its size does not limit its level of details. Sariel asked Chrome Block City to recreate the metallic gold shade and he himself created all the custom stickers in an effort to stay true to the original car. This LEGO masterpiece features openable doors, hood and trunk, a workable steering wheel and manual adjust seats. The body is removable as a single piece which is great for changing batteries. The fully functional chassis is even more complex, featuring a V8 piston engine and 2-speed manual transmission. Actual tuning can also be carried out, such as changing the shock absorbers and gear ratios in the transmission.

Sariel is planning to release the building instructions for this model as a book, which should help many builders to understand the mechanics and create their own dream car.
