I was heavily influenced by the big screen growing up, especially when it came to cars. Among my favorites — as I’m sure is the case with anyone who’s ever watched Back to the Future — was always the DeLorean DMC-12 time machine built by Dr. Emmett Brown. First conceived as a means of gaining insights into history and the future, the space-age automobile will go down as one of the most iconic movie vehicles ever created, and is still something of a dream car for anyone born in the ‘70s or ‘80s.

Now, Hong Kong-based collectible production company, Hot Toys, is releasing the unmistakable movie automobile as a ⅙ scale model complete with original details. Included among them are a meticulously crafted exterior with cable wires across the body, detailed engine deck and cabin structures, functional gull-wing doors, and a number of LED light-up functions on both the interior and exterior. A must-have for model car enthusiasts or Back to the Future fanatics, the Sixth Scale DeLorean can also be accompanied by Hot Toys’ Marty McFly Sixth Scale Figure for those wishing to go the extra mile.
