Metaxas & Sins turntable and reel-to-reel recorder

Most high-end audio equipment brands put their efforts and resources into offering the best sound quality, but Kostas Metaxas from Metaxas & Sins works equally hard on the appearance of his audio gear. Metaxas is not just an electrical and recording engineer with over 35 years of experience, he is also an artist who creates sculpture-like audio equipment.

The turntable Phonographic Perambulator PP1 is machine-cut from a solid block of aircraft aluminium and titanium, while the GQT R2R Tape Recorder is a contemporary take on a classic 1970s mechanical reel-to-reel tape recording and playing deck. Details of these products have yet to be announced. Like all other pieces from Metaxas & Sins, the two new products are hand-made from start to finish by Metaxas himself and his two sons. The turnable is limited to five units and the reel-to-reel is limited to three units only.
