Senna's first Monaco Grand Prix car to be auctioned by Bonhams in May

Following on from the news of a Senna signed F1 racing suit to be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in May, Bonhams is offering Senna’s first Monaco Grand Prix car at its Monaco Sale in Monte Carlo on 11 May at Villa La Vigie.

The 1½-liter, 4-cylinder, 600bhp turbocharged Formula 1 Toleman-Hart TG184 racing car was designed by Rory Byrne and Pat Symonds, and resulted in Senna famously finishing second on his Monaco Grand Prix debut in 1984 under appalling weather conditions.

The Toleman-Hart was last sold for £1million in 2015, three years after failing to sell at auction with a £550,000 reserve, and it’s expected to fetch even more at the Bonhams auction.
