Bentley has introduced a sharper, more dynamic chapter in its grand touring story with the arrival of the new 2026 Continental GT S. Positioned as the most driver-focused S-badged model yet, it blends the raw intent of the limited-run Supersports with Bentley’s latest hybrid performance technology, resulting in a grand tourer that moves with remarkable purpose without sacrificing refinement.
The headline change is the adoption of the new High Performance Hybrid powertrain, now delivering an immense 670 hp and 930 Nm. That’s a gain of 128 hp and 160 Nm over the previous GT S, and enough to eclipse even the last-generation W12 Speed for outright punch. With the combustion engine and electric motor working in unison, the GT S dispatches 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 306 km/h. It can also glide silently for up to 80 km on electric power alone.
As important as the newfound power is the chassis that underpins it. Borrowed from the GT Speed, the Bentley Performance Active Chassis gives the S a breadth of ability beyond its predecessors. Active all-wheel drive, torque vectoring across both axles, twin-valve dampers, a 48V active anti-roll system, all-wheel steering and, for the first time on a GT S, an electronic limited-slip differential, all come together to unlock a far more agile, exploitable character. Drivers can lean into the car’s balance in Dynamic mode or switch the ESC off entirely for a surprisingly playful, rear-biased attitude.
Blackline Specification comes as standard on the Continental GT S, bringing dark grilles, black wings and lettering, a rear diffuser, smoked lighting, and Beluga mirror caps. Precision-design LED matrix headlamps, which were previously exclusive to the Speed, feature here as well, complemented by standard 22-inch ten-spoke wheels that give the car a more purposeful stance.
The transformation continues inside with a unique two-tone colour split, fluted sport seats, and extensive use of Dinamica across key touchpoints. Piano Black veneer is standard, though carbon fibre and other finishes are available for those seeking a racier edge.
For open-air grand touring, the GTC S brings the same mechanical and visual upgrades in a fabric-roofed format, maintaining near-identical performance with added drama when the roof is lowered.
