Toyota has revealed yet another collector-focused take on its rally-bred hot hatch, this time honouring one of the sport’s greatest drivers. The new GR Yaris Sébastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition marks the Frenchman’s ninth WRC title in 2025, a season that went down to the final stage of Rally Saudi Arabia and cemented Ogier’s status as one of the all-time greats.
Based on the GR Yaris Aero Performance Package, the Ogier Edition goes far beyond badging and paint. The headline feature is a bespoke 4WD control map known as “SEB.” mode, developed with Ogier himself. Replacing the standard car’s Track setting, it shifts torque distribution to 40:60, allowing the rear axle to play a more active role under high-speed load while retaining crisp front-end response. There is also a “MORIZO” mode, a calibration created by Akio Toyoda and adopted by Ogier for its ability to maximise traction and cornering stability.
The visual changes are equally purposeful. A new exterior colour, Black Gravite, makes its debut here as a nod to Toyota Gazoo Racing’s 2025 motorsport campaign. Matte black wheels, Ogier-blue brake callipers and a grille accented with the French tricolour reinforce the tribute, while a Morizo signature on the windscreen hints at the model’s collaborative origins.
Inside, the special-edition GR Yaris channels rally functionality with a smaller-diameter steering wheel, revised switchgear placement, tricolour stitching on the steering wheel, and a vertical leather-trimmed handbrake with grey contrast detailing. A numbered plaque confirms each car’s place in the 200-unit production run.
Just 100 examples of the GR Yaris Sébastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition will be offered in Japan, with another 100 allocated to select European markets.
