V12 From Another World
De Tomaso P900's V12 engine

De Tomaso has offered its most stunning update yet to the P900, revealing the latest development stage of the car’s bespoke V12, and the results are nothing short of mesmerising. Presented in a series of dramatic images, the engine looks less like a hypercar component and more like a biomechanical sculpture worthy of H.R. Giger.

The extraordinary 12-into-1 exhaust arrangement is a vision once deemed impossible but now fully realised. Designed by De Tomaso and crafted by Italtecnica Engineering, it has taken four painstaking years to reach this level of refinement. Recent performance footage shows the 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 900 hp and revving to 10,200 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an Xtrac sequential manual transmission. Final confirmed output figures will follow when De Tomaso releases its full engine specification.

The P900 itself is a track-only hypercar limited to just 18 examples. It’s a celebration of the marque’s racing heritage distilled into a 900 kg machine, giving it a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. Its carbon monocoque, complete with an integrated roll cage, has been engineered for extreme rigidity and uncompromising safety. The structure has been meticulously lightened and honed to meet stringent motorsport standards, allowing owners to experience the car at its full dynamic potential, alongside the hand-assembled craftsmanship expected at this level of hypercar.

De Tomaso promises more details soon. In the meantime, make sure you watch the video below with the sound turned up.
