Camera maker Insta360 has entered the drone market with the launch of its first model, the A1, under the Antigravity brand. This is the world’s first 8K 360-degree drone, bundled with the flying camera unit, Grip motion controller, and Vision goggles for a fully immersive experience.
The Antigravity A1 captures its surroundings with a dual-lens 360° system. Advanced stitching removes the drone from both live feeds and recorded footage, placing pilots directly inside the action without visual distractions. The result is smooth, cinematic footage where every angle is available, whether in real time or in post-production.
Paired with the Vision goggles and Grip controller, the A1 debuts Antigravity’s FreeMotion technology, making flight feel intuitive and fluid. Pilots can look one way while flying another, unlocking new creative possibilities for storytelling. And with every angle recorded in 8K, there’s no need to frame shots mid-flight — creators can reframe in editing, export in any aspect ratio, and add effects like Tiny Planet or horizon flips.
Despite its advanced features, the A1 remains highly accessible. Weighing just 249 grams, it falls below registration thresholds in most regions, slips easily into a backpack, and is quick to set up. Safety features include return-to-home and payload detection to prevent misuse.
The Antigravity A1 will launch globally in January 2026.
