As the name suggests, the Baume & Mercier Clifton Club Shelby Cobra limited watch is inspired by fast and furious Shelby race car. To make sure the watch stays true to the race car’s design spirit, the brand has worked in partnership with the Daytona Coupe’s designer Peter Brock for this limited piece.

On the dial the modern Arabic numerals, vertical or horizontal ring chronograph counters pay tribute to the Daytona Coupe’s dashboard. The red chronograph second hand features the Cobra logo designed by Peter Brock, while the day and date functions are displayed in 3 o’clock position.

The Daytona Coupe’s magnesium alloy wheel design is replicated on the oscillating weight and can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back. The limited edition number “One out of 1964” is also etched for paying tribute to the year which the race car was launched. The black calfskin strap is finished with a carbon-like pattern and lined with red rubberised soft calfskin. The watch comes in an elegant package together with a 1:43 scale model of the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe and a brochure detailing the history of the car.

A complex flyback chronograph with half blue and half silver-coloured dial is also available in the same collection, limited to 196 pieces only.
