Honda’s joint venture with Sundiro has been quietly reshaping China’s two-wheeler scene, and its latest creation, the Sundiro Honda Square X125, may be its most distinctive yet. Designed as a utility scooter equally at home in city traffic or on weekend adventures, it blends practicality with a bold, boxy aesthetic that perfectly suits its name.

Weighing just 122 kg, the Square X125 is light and easy to handle. Its eSP 125cc engine with PGM-FI fuel injection delivers quiet, efficient performance with low emissions and smooth acceleration. While its 88 km/h top speed won’t set records, it’s more than adequate for everyday use. The inclusion of dual-channel ABS, which is a first for a Sundiro Honda, ensures confident braking in all conditions.

Its unconventional design, featuring a rectangular headlight and matching rear lighting, gives the scooter a futuristic edge balanced by clean, compact lines. A 5-inch VA digital display keeps the interface simple and functional. Honda has also built in practical touches for outdoor use, including a side tray for picnics or camping, a one-touch 5.7-litre fuel tank cap, and a fold-down backrest that doubles as an extra seat with storage beneath.

Available in Avocado Green, Elegant Yellow, and Brilliant White, the Square X125 is currently exclusive to China, though it wouldn’t be surprising to see Honda expand its reach to other markets.
