Glass artist Jennifer Halvorson has created a collection named ‘Preserve’, which has led us to imagine a world in which metal utensils are no longer limited by containers. Instead, we see metal forks and spoons inserted into different kinds of jars and containers, whose shapes change according to the shapes of that specific utensil. At a glance, it feels like metal utensils wanting to use their power to poke through the glass.

‘Preserve’ is inspired by the memories of Jennifer Halvorson making fruit preserves with her family in the past, but more than that, her intention is to elicit those kinds of memories in the viewer.

Five pieces of this collection will be shown in the exhibition ‘Reflections’ which will be held from 1 July to 25 August at Momentum Gallery.
