Automakers unveiling concept cars to preview future design directions is nothing new, but it comes as a surprise that Ferrari has created a digital hypercar in the form of an NFT. The Ferrari F76 celebrates the Prancing Horse’s third consecutive victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the 499P, its name paying tribute to Ferrari’s first Le Mans win 76 years ago with the 166 MM Barchetta in 1949.
Ferrari is treating this virtual project with the same seriousness as any production car. Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre under Flavio Manzoni, the F76 offers a glimpse into the brand’s aerodynamic future. Its dramatic double-fuselage layout is focused on mastering airflow: the split cabins form a central channel that turns the body into an active wing, using ground effect to push performance beyond traditional limits. At the rear, a floating secondary wing bridges the twin tails, increasing downforce while housing Ferrari’s signature four taillights. The sculptural bodywork was refined through generative algorithms rather than hand sketches, with vertical cuts along the sides recalling the F80.
The driving experience is equally intriguing. The F76 features two separate cockpits connected by fully drive-by-wire technology, allowing both occupants to feel the car’s reactions in perfect synchrony, transforming driving into a shared experience rather than a solitary one.
As compelling as it sounds, the F76 will be available exclusively to members of Ferrari’s Hyperclub programme, with each digital example personalised through a range of design options. Ferrari has yet to disclose the NFT’s price to the public.
