Vandal One track car

Automaker such as Ariel, KTM and Radical are synonyms of lightweight track cars. Now we have a brand new name trying to crack this niche market: Vandal Cars. Unlike its aforementioned brands from Europe, it came all the way from the Atlantic.

The recently established American manufacturer is ready to launch its first model, named ‘One’. The track only race car merely weighs 555 kg due to its carbon fibre monocoque and body. Vandal one is propelled by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Honda Civic Type R engine now generates 340 hp. For those who crave for more power, there will be an upgrade package that brings the output up to 560 hp. All the power is sent through a Sadev six-speed sequential gearbox. Ariel Atom 4 is another vehicle that borrowed the Civic Type-R engine, but Vandal One exceeds in the output even with the standard edition. Suspension is said to be derived from Formula 1.

Vandal Cars also intends to develop a cloud-based telemetry system to keep track of all performance data including real-time engine and chassis data, which would be useful for remote driver coaching. The cars will be assembled at the company’s headquarters in Detroit and first deliveries are expected later this year.
