Italdesign Zerouno

Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year, the Zerouno, developed by Italdesign Automobili Speciali, is the first car to be created by the automaker and one of only five examples to be built. The first off the production line, chassis number 002, will appear at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this month.

002 features a whole new bespoke metallic red and carbon livery and a large rear wing with central longitudinal fin that is specifically customised for this particular owner.

“Having sold all five Zerounos is the result of great teamwork and it shows we are on a promising way with our new brand for Ultra-Limited Series Production,” stated Filippo Perini, Head of Innovation Design. “We are currently looking into the possibility to build a roadster version and we are in dialogue with customers worldwide to truly materialize their wishes into it.”

If the roadster version does happen, it will likely feature the same powerful naturally aspirated 5.2 litre V10. The engine enables a 0-100 km/h acceleration of just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 330 km/h in the Zerouno, but may perform with a slight difference on a roadster due to the added weight of the complex folding roof.
