Exclusive Homage To A Champion
McLaren 750S JC96 Limited Edition

McLaren has revealed the 750S JC96, the marque’s very first model exclusively for the Japanese market. The limited edition celebrates the McLaren F1 GTR that clinched the 1996 All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship with John Nielsen and David Brabham at the wheel. As this championship-winning car wore the number 61, only 61 examples will be produced for this Japan-only release.

The JC96’s defining feature is the introduction of the MSO High Downforce Kit, applied to both Coupé and Spider models. This is the first time the aero package has been fitted to an open-top McLaren, delivering up to 10% more downforce through a revised front bumper and splitter, a raised active rear spoiler, and a louvred under-wing panel. The car also debuts an all-new “Delta” 15-spoke ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheel, inspired by the long-tail F1 GTRs that raced at Le Mans.

Paintwork draws directly from the Team Goh F1 GTR “Tiger Stripe” livery of 1996, with bespoke detailing on the splitter, mirrors and wing endplates in Memphis Red, Ice White, Titanium Silver or Graphite Grey. For four customers, McLaren Special Operations will hand-paint a full JC96 Tribute Livery across the whole bodywork, adding an ultra-exclusive nod to the Tiger Stripe design.

The JC96 channels motorsport heritage with an Alcantara-trimmed interior offered in three variations, gold-finished pedals and switchgear, and bespoke JC96 branding embroidered into headrests and armrests. Each of the 61 cars will also carry a unique dedication plaque in a gold finish with its limited-edition number. Other custom options include an interior livery theme pack with painted paddles and key, plus extended carbon fibre detailing.

At its core, the JC96 remains a 750S, powered by McLaren’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 740 hp and 800 Nm of torque, with carbon fibre construction and Proactive Chassis Control III suspension ensuring it retains its reputation as the lightest and most agile car in its class.
