Life-Size R2-D2 Will Bring You Cold Beer.

With “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” premiering this week, it is no surprise that a series of Star Wars inspired products are being introduced. Yet, the heaviest product related to this movie would have to be this collaboration between AQUA, the branch line of Japanese electronics brand Haier Asia, with Disney, a 1:1 original size R2-D2 Moving Refrigerator! Completely faithful to the outlook of the beloved “R2-D2” droid, this mini fridge can store six cans of beverages and move via remote control (at its highest speed of 1km/hour) after being charged. Implemented with realistic sound and lighting effects, it has truly replicated R2-D2 with high precision.

In addition to its refrigerator function, what fans might appreciate most is the projector fitted into the droid’s head, providing maximum brightness of 32lm and the ability to project a 16:9 HD (720p) quality image. Sadly, it only supports corresponding Android devices and does not support iOS. The R2-D2 Moving Refrigerator is now open for pre-order on its official website and is only available for customers in Japan at the moment, with MSRP set at 998,000 yen excluding taxes. This may be the droid you are looking for, after all.
