Swatch X Omega Speedmaster MoonSwatch Collection

Swatch and Omega have joined forces to bring the iconic Omega Speedster, AKA the Moonwatch, to a wider audience. The special collaboration has referenced the overall look and feel of the Moonwatch and turned it into an exciting watch collection with 11 colourways, some of those are surprisingly vibrant.

Cleverly named MoonSwatch, the 42mm case of the collection is made of Bioceramic, Swatch’s patented material that combines ceramic and castor oil-derived material. The signature design features of the Moonwatch are all here — the asymmetrical case, the famous tachymeter scale with dot over ninety, and the distinctive Speedmaster subdials. On the dial, there are the logos of both Omega and Swatch, and the Speedmaster logo is moved to the 9 o’clock position, while the MoonSwatch wordmark can be found on the 3 o’clock position. On the caseback, the battery cover features a depiction of the watch’s respective planet, and each watch is finished with a matching coloured Velcro strap.

Some of these watches have exclusive elements according the planetary bodies. For example, the seconds subdial of the Mission to Saturn depicts Saturn’s rings, while the Mission to Mars features unique spacecraft-shaped subdial hands that were once seen on the Omega Speedmaster “Alaska Project”.

The MoonSwatch collection is only available in selected Swatch stores from 26 March, and each watch is priced at HK$2,100.
