One of the reasons why rallying is so fascinating comes from seeing common road-going cars geared up for mud and dirts, but what would happen if the subjects are changed to supercars that are usually bright and shiny? The team at car insurance company Budget Direct have fulfilled our curious dream of running fancy supercars against the rocks and pebbles with these interesting renderings.

Presented here are eight vehicles originally not designed for off-road being turned into rally machines, updated with racing livery and Hella lights and covered in dirt, including Bugatti Divo, Ford GT40, Ferrari Portofino, Koenigsegg Regera, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, McLaren Senna, Tesla Model X and Reliant Robin. While they are all fun to look at, I doubt owners of these models would be inspired by the images and bring their beloved cars for such a makeover.
