New automotive resort planned at Bicester Heritage

Bicester Heritage, located in Oxfordshire, UK has transformed the site of a former Royal Air Force airbase to becoming one of the key classic car hubs in the country. But the current, business focused area is going to change in a few years’ time as Bicester Heritage has unveiled a masterplan to create the UK’s first automotive resort and top tourist and leisure destination.

The resort is named ‘Bicester Motion’, the masterplan has outlined an area of 444 acres which offers leisure, culture and tourism experiences involving past and present and future of motoring. An extra 30+ automotive related businesses will call the area home in additional to the existing 40 specialist businesses. Visitors can be fully immersed in automotive culture, including specialist services from on-site historic vehicle businesses, future electric and autonomous technology and road and off-road driving experience. It will be complimented with car-themed restaurants and cafes. There will also be an ecology-led health and wellbeing zone that taps into the on-site nature with footpaths, cycle paths and country park. With a 344-room hotel and conference development approved to build, guests can stay over to fully experience the various kinds of offers provided in the area.
