The Toyota Racing Department (TRD) is turning the Supra into another special edition for the SEMA Show, kicking off on 5 November in Las Vegas. Judging by the trailer below, the GR Supra 3000GT Concept could well be the ultimate Supra for the current generation.
While there are no specifications accompanying the trailer and images, the glimpses of the concept shown in the trailer reveal vents on the hood and massive wings. These modifications are said to be inspired by the TRD 3000GT wide-body concept developed based on the Supra 80 and debuted at the 1994 Tokyo Auto Salon. You can also see an image of the 1994 3000GT concept in the trailer below. With keywords such as “incomparable” and “inheritance” throwing around, it’s difficult not to have high hope for this upcoming new car.
Toyota will also showcase the TRD’s GR Supra Performance Line at the SEMA Show. Debuted as a concept in Osaka earlier this year, owners in various markets have been hoping Toyota would sell parts based on it.
