Formula 1 and Netflix have announced Formula 1: Drive to Survive, a 10 part series with exclusive and intimate access to the championship. The highly anticipated collaboration will be aired on Netflix worldwide starting from 8 March.
From the makers of Senna and Amy, the series is unlike other documentaries on F1. The film crew had full access to the backstage and the personal life of the top drivers and team members, but also have access to off track stories. The style focus on human approach with drama, laughters and tears. From the trailer you can see the usual thrilling racing scenes, drivers training in the gym, as well as their family members gathering together to watch them risking their lives on the track.
The series will show each stage of the 2018 F1 championship, from Melbourne to the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi. As Paul Martin from Box to Box Films said, “Formula 1: Drive to Survive takes the viewers right into the heart of this world and shows what it is like to live, work and race within the world’s fastest sport.” This is surely a series not to be missed.
