The Revolutionary Machine
Ferrari 312B teaser

In 1970, Mauro Forghieri, the engineer and chief designer of Ferrari at the time, developed the revolutionary flat-12 engine that powered the Ferrari 312B. The low-mounted engine gave the car a lower centre of gravity and clear airflow beneath the rear wing, and Jacky Ickx first raced it in the 1970 South African Grand Prix.

Forty odd years later and this legendary machine is now the star of a forthcoming film. Directed by Andrea Marini, Ferrari 312B is a story about men and motors, but above all, it’s a story of passion. It also showcases the F1 scene during the period; racing legends such as Niki Lauda, Jacky Ickx, Jackie Stewart, Gerhard Berger, Damon Hill are all featured in the film, accounting their experiences with the highly competitive and aggressive sport.

The film will be shown in cinemas in Italy on October 9 to 11, and a worldwide release with screenings in 50 countries is planned after the premiere.
